According to the calendar summer begins on June 21 but in Orlando summer started this weekend with Memorial Day! And now that schools across the country are letting out for summer break you can bet families will be heading to Orlando to cool off at the city’s most thrilling water parks. Luckily, guests will get more bang for their buck this summer as Orlando water parks welcome longer summer hours!

Let’s start at Walt Disney World ® where families can enjoy a storm of fun at Typhoon Lagoon ®. Kids will love plunging down raging rapids while parents relax on the white sandy beaches of the water park, and now you can do it all for longer with Typhoon Lagoon’s summer hours! Beginning June 9, the Orlando water park will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. That’s two hours longer at night to take a ride in the lazy river or swim with sharks and stingrays!

If you plan on visiting Disney’s Blizzard Beach ® this summer you’ll be able to enjoy frosty fun for longer all summer long as the water park will also be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning June 9.  Make the most of your chilly adventure by enjoying the one-time ski resort’s watery wonderland of winter water sports and rides.

Over at Orlando’s premiere water park, Wet ‘n Wild, you can splish and splash your way through the hot summer months from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning June 28 through August 17. That’s another two hours at night, which you’ll absolutely need to get in all of Wet ‘n Wild’s thrilling water rides. There’s nothing like flying down the 150-foot water slide Der Stuka at night or careening through The Black Hole with the entire family again and again.

Stay and play at Coco Key Water Resort and spend your waking hours amongst some of Orlando’s best water rides like the interactive play island Parrot’s Perch, the water play area for little ones - Minnow Lagoon & Slide, the cool pool hangout Coral Reef Cove, the park’s three signature slides and so much more! And right now guests can get wet and stay cool at Coco Key Water Park until just before bedtime with opening hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
