What happens when Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck lace up and hit the pavement? You get runDinsey and plenty of magical Disney-themed runs and races at Walt Disney World ® throughout the year!

The running fun all begins Saturday, May 3 with the Everest Challenge. Disney invites runners to “take a run on the wild side and uncover the mystery of the clues!” This thrill-packed 5K adventure run will take you through Disney’s Animal Kingdom ®, but you won’t just be running, you’ll be searching for clues in this fun-filled scavenger hunt. If you complete the challenge you’ll escape with a special edition Compass finisher medal.

Walt Disney World Race Weekends don’t actually begin until October with The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler October 4-5 but because this race and the rest of runDisney races are such a magical time they tend to fill up fast! Take The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler for example, this race takes runners on a thrilling nighttime run along the streets haunted by Disney’s ® most frightening villains and characters! It’s the perfect run to get you in the Halloween spirit!

If you like to end your run with a nightcap than don’t miss the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend November 8-9. For 13.1 miles you’ll experience the magic of three Walt Disney World ® parks and than celebrate your achievements with a special Finish Line Party at the Epcot ® International Food & Wine Festival where you will be treated to a few specialties from the annual event.

Start the New Year right with the signature runDisney race weekend, the Walt Disney World Marathon. Runners can participate in every distance from the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, Family Fun Run 5K and Kids Races. You can even combine some of those races and complete the 39.3 Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge or the 48.6 Dopey Challenge!

Fairytales do come true in February with The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. Women of all ages can participate in this magical event, which includes the Half Marathon, 10K, Royal Family 5K, Kids Races and the 19.3-mile Glass Slipper Challenge. Don’t forget to dress up as your favorite Disney ® princess!

In addition to the races, runDisney Weekends include health and fitness expos with guest speakers, product demonstrations and official race merchandise you can’t find anywhere else.
