Things to do around Walt Disney WorldWalt Disney World ® is without a doubt the most magical place to visit in Orlando, but if spring break and the upcoming summer months have you looking for something different to add to your Orlando vacation. Then, you should try out the other attractions and shows near Walt Disney World ®, so you don’t have to travel far and give your family something new to try. Here are a few of our favorites:

Fun Spot Attractions – With fun in its name you’re bound to have a good time at this Orlando attraction. Fun Spot Attractions is a thrill seekers paradise with some of the most exciting roller coasters in all of Orlando. Admission to Fun Spot is free, you can pay for rides as you go or purchase an unlimited rides band. Guests can climb to the tallest point in the park and plunge their way to the bottom on the world’s tallest Skycoaster! Or fly through the air like a bird on Screamin Eagles. You can even experience what it is like to swing back and forth like a yo-yo on the ride appropriately named Yo-Yo. If thrills aren’t your thing enjoy one of FunSpot’s other rides like the extreme Go-Kart Tracks, Kiddie Bumpers, Kiddie Coaster, Carousel (pictured above) and more! Plus, expansions are coming soon!

Orlando Premium Outlets – There’s nothing more exciting than saving money on vacation and the Orlando Premium Outlets is the perfect place to shop and save. Located less than 10 minutes from Walt Disney World ® Resort Area, the Orlando Premium Outlets let you shop the day away at 150 outlets stores including AIX Armani Exchange, BCBG Max Azria, Burberry, DKNY, Fendi, Hugo Boss Factory Store, J. Crew, Lucky Brand, Michael Kors and so many more.

Old Town Amusement – Located just three miles east of the main entrance to Walt Disney World ®, near Fun Spot USA, Old Town Amusement offers all of the fun of a major theme park for less. Families can enjoy thrill rides and kiddie rides including AMPvenutre Experience – a four-story, ropes course rock wall and zipline! Or visit Kid Town and let the kiddos take a ride on the Merry-Go Round, Flying Tea Cups, Frog Hopper and more. Plus, this April, Old Town is offering several events, you don’t want to miss like American Hero Fest on April 28, Bike Night every Thursday in April and many more.

Celebration Town Center – It’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. If Walt Disney World ® had a neighborhood; Celebration is what it would look like. Minutes from Walt Disney World ® Celebration is a community filled with shopping, restaurants and events, as well as homes and even a school. But it’s the fun events that draw folks in like the Celebration Exotic Car Show Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 and the Celebration Art Festival on Saturday, April 20. It’s a small town envisioned by the Walt Disney himself, think Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom, but an actual town.

ESPN Wide World of Sports – A sports fans dream, ESPN Wide World of Sports lets baseball, hockey, basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, lacrosse, softball, martial arts, golf, cheer and dance fans participate in their favorite sport all year long. ESPN Wide World of Sports is also the home to several sporting events including Spring Training with the Atlanta Braves, Disney Track 7 Field Showcase, Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend and so many more.

Disney’s Boardwalk – A quarter-mile promenade reminiscent of turn-of-the century boardwalks in Coney Island and Atlantic City, Disney’s Boardwalk is filled with everything you need for a great day or night outing including restaurants, shops and nightlife venues. It’s also just a short stroll to Epcot ® and a boat ride to Hollywood Studios ® in case you wanted to get the full Walt Disney World ® experience after all. There’s an exit to Disney’s Boardwalk from Epcot ®. It’s between United Kingdom and France at the World Showcase.

Arabian Nights – There is nothing like diner and a show. And what better way to spend time with your family than over pulled pork while you watch Arabian horses show off their talents during the magical tale of romance and adventure in Arabian Nights current show – The American Princess. The American Princess is the story of an all-American girl who realizes on her 21st-birthday that she is actually a princess and must find her prince. The show takes the audience on a lighthearted journey through good and evil as the she travels to Europe, Latin America, a Gypsy camp, the world of imagination and more to find her true love.
