Top Things to Do

Best animal comics at Universal, Disney, and SeaWorld OrlandoOrlando’s theme parks are home to some of the best entertainment in the world, and believe it or not, some of the top animal comedians are also right here in the heart of Central Florida. But, the one common denominator for each is that you must have a theme park ticket to see them all; for this, look no further than for the best discounted theme park ticket prices in town!

At Universal Studios Florida at the Universal Orlando Resort, the top animal comedians are actually the animals themselves! At the attraction “Animal Actors on Location!,” your furry friends become the stars of the show, with animals from television and movies performing an unscripted show that tops the charts in family-friendliness. These dogs, cats, birds, pigs and even orangutans perform along with a side-splitting mix of video segments that always leaves the audience wanting more, while over at the Walt Disney World Resort, the animals are the star of the shows but leave the comedy to the street performers roaming around Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

The real stars of comedy, however, are located at SeaWorld Orlando. In the Pets Ahoy show, a cast of characters much like at Universal Studios Florida show a different side to animal training. These animals aren’t the graceful dolphin or the powerful killer whale, but rather ducks, doves, dogs, cats and potbellied pigs! To add to the enamor of the show, each animal used in Pets Ahoy is a recue animal.

The laughs get ever harder over at sea lion and otter stadium at Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island. This hilarious show is a combination of talented performers/animal trainers who tell a story of a lot of pirate misfortune, including pirate plunder, lost treasure and all the crazy hijinks that happen in interactions with the stars of the show – an otter, sea lion and walrus. If you’re visiting during the summer months, be sure to stick around for Sea Lions Tonite, which is this show’s comical recap of all the others shows around the park (it helps to see those shows before attending).

And of course, we would be remiss to talk about animal comedians without mentioning the mimes at the sea lion and otter stadium. Get to your seat early and prepare for a comedy show that’s a treat in and of itself, as a guest mime entertains the thousands of waiting guests by interacting with folks who are arriving late to the show. This is one portion of the show you do not want to miss (or be a part of)!
