A trip to Universal Orlando usually involves the entire family. So why not make sure you get in some good quality family time on some of Universal Orlando’s many rides? Not every ride at the Orlando theme park is geared towards everybody in the family but if you’re hoping to stick together on your next visit here are the top Universal Orlando family rides:
Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem – The entire family will love getting turned into minions on this wacky and hilarious 3D adventure. Guests will join the mad scientist Gru and his three adopted daughters Margo, Edith and Agnes in their home to get an inside glimpse into Gru’s latest experiment. Little do you know that experiment consists of turning you into a minion! But just like some of Gru’s other experiments this one goes terribly wrong and you’re whisked away on a high-flying and wildly entertaining ride with other mischievous minions. The adventure ends with a dance party where you and the family can show off your best moves!
The Simpsons Ride – Take your family on a wild ride through Springfield with television’s favorite animated family, The Simpsons, and enjoy all of the crazy antics of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie in simulated roller coaster form! The Simpsons Ride will take you through Krustyland, the low-budget theme park created by Krusty the Clown. But beware this theme park isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. Somebody’s out to sabotage your experience as you spend the entire time crashing your way through kiddie rides, stunt shows, thrill rides, and more.
E.T. Adventure – Teach your kids the importance of helping others on this iconic ride. You and your family can spend the day helping everybody’s favorite extraterrestrial E.T. save his home. All you have to do is board a flying bicycle just like Elliot does in the movie, and sneak E.T. past police and scientists as you fly up into the sky, over the moon and across the stars before eventually reaching his magical planet where you’re greeted by other mysterious creatures. At the end of the ride, E.T. will thank you personally (by first name) for bringing him home.
Shrek 4-D – Not technically a ride, we can’t mention a family friendly attraction at Universal Orlando without mentioning Shrek 4D. The next chapter after the first Shrek Movie, Shrek 4D rejoins adults and kids with Shrek and Donkey as they set out on an adventurous mission to save Princess Fiona from Lord Farquaad. Along the way you’ll gallop through a haunted forest, ride on the back of a dragon and plunge over a waterfall to help save Shrek’s true love.
