Top Things to Do

Best franchises made in LEGO Form at LEGOLAND Florida

Part of the success of LEGOLAND Florida is the many different ways the Orlando theme park incorporates LEGO’s different brands and products into its attractions, shows and interactive building activities. Here are a few of those popular brands that come to life and make LEGOLAND Florida so much fun!

World of Chima – This LEGO brand is so popular both LEGOLAND Florida and the Cartoon Network are expanding it with a new area and television show. Legends of Chima is LEGOLAND Florida’s newest LEGO brand to crossover into the park. World of Chima will include many of the same elements as the action figures and games including an interactive water ride called Quest for the Chi and the fast-paced Speedorz Arena where players can compete and build from the LEGO Speedorz line.  The new area will be presented by Cartoon Network, which is creating a new animated TV series based on the popular Legends of Chima product line. World of Chima is set to open this summer.

Star Wars – Both a popular movie franchise and LEGO product the LEGO Star Wars Miniland addition to LEGOLAND Florida last November is by far one of the most exciting LEGO brands to hit the park. Guests can now travel to a galaxy far, far away and explore miniature scenes from all of the six films and a seventh from the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” In true LEGO fashion, the replicas were built in 1:20 scale but regardless of how small they are, they still pack a punch with lighting and sound effects just like in the movie franchise.

Hero Factory – Due to the huge popularity of Hero Factory, LEGOLAND Florida created an immersive interactive play area based on the line of LEGO heroes, who are designed, equipped and built depending on specific missions. Guests to the Hero Factory area can now build they’re very own heroes and meet-and-greet with LEGO Hero Factory’s bravest leader, Preston Stormer.

LEGO Friends – This LEGO product was designed to appeal primarily to girls. The theme includes “mini-doll” figures who come with different accessories that depict scenes from suburban life in the fictional town Heartlake City. Once a year, the LEGO Friends characters including Olivia, Andrea, Stephanie, Emma and Mia hit LEGOLAND Florida for a fabulous weekend of glitz, glam and friendship geared towards girls ages 2 to 12. The event lets girls celebrate their individuality by posing on the pink carpet with Emma and Stephanie, building LEGO creations with Olivia and singing like Andrea.

MINDSTORMS – LEGO’s MINDSTORMS let kids create, customize and program robots via programmable brick computer that controls the system. The kit also includes a set of modular sensors and motors and LEGO parts to build humanoids, animals and machines. LEGOLAND Florida brings the fun of building and programming these incredible machines to life via an interactive building activity you don’t want to miss.
