Top Things to Do

New Fantasyland experiencesThe New Fantasyland at Walt Disney World ® is the biggest expansion to ever hit Magic Kingdom ®. So big in fact that it’s hard to fit every new ride, attraction and experience into one single visit. And even if you thought you did a pretty good job visiting each new thing, you probably missed some lesser known areas of the expansion. But that’s ok because it only means you get to come back again to see it all and when you do bring Orlando Fun Tickets’ “Attractions You May Have Missed” guide back with you so you ensure you don’t miss a thing again!

Scuttle's Scavenger Hunt – First up on our “don’t miss” list is Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid queue. If you got a FastPass for this ride you missed out on some pretty amazing features and one exciting interactive scavenger hunt game. The game let’s you direct tiny blue crabs on a screen, who are collecting Ariel’s whozits and whatzits to either get rid of an item that doesn’t belong in Ariel’s collection or keep it. You’ll need to use your finger to point at the items.

Gaston – He’s muscular, vein and one of the things you may have missed in New Fantasyland. He’s the egocentric character Gaston from the Disney ® movie “Beauty and the Beast” and he’s waiting for you outside of Gaston’s Tavern in the Beauty and the Beast area of the park. Dressed in a red shirt and green pants with slicked back black hair, Gaston is everything you imagined he would be and as he roams the area meeting and greeting fans he can be heard quoting many of the same lines he says in the movie. And when he’s not quoting you can be sure he’s flexing!

Storybook Circus Giggle Gang – A circus isn’t a circus without clowns that’s why the Storybook Circus area of the New Fantasyland has hired clowns to entertain guests while they wait for such rides as Barnstormer, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Pete’s Silly Sideshow and more. They perform about every hour starting at 10:30am. There’s music, fun, and a whole bunch of “clownin’ around.” These characters, who hail from Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey will have the whole family laughing, so gather around and enjoy the show. Show Times: 10:30am, 11:35am, 1:45pm, 2:50pm, 3:55pm, and 5:00pm.

Musicians - And as you search for the many features you may have missed last visit, listen up for gorgeous music playing throughout the park. To give you the ultimate Disney ® fairytale experience, Disney ® musicians play memorable songs from classic Disney ® movies like “Fathoms Below” the ship’s chorus from the beginning of the Little Mermaid, among others.

Beast Castle – There’s so many details that went into Beast Castle that it’s impossible to see it all in one visit. Every time you walk inside Be Our Guest Restaurant there’s something new that catches your eye. From the Beast’s portrait to the enchanted rose, the story of Beauty and the Beast is told through every location inside the restaurant.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – While this family coaster is not yet open at New Fantasyland, it doesn’t mean you can’t take a peek at the progress. Before entering Storybook Circus, check out the construction walls for a mural of your favorite dwarfs. Dopey holds out a sign that says “Take a Peek,” and through some knotholes and between the planks of wood, you can be updated on the progress of one of the most anticipated new rides at Walt Disney World ®.

If you caught everything on this list, you can call yourself a great Disney explorer. But there are many new experiences to explore at Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland. If you missed a few things then there’s even more magic to uncover on your next visit. I hope Orlando Fun Tickets has set you on the right path for new discoveries.
