Top Orlando Hotels with Christmas CheerEvery December, Orlando theme parks spread the holiday cheer with their special Christmas entertainment like the Candlelight Processional at Walt Disney World ®, Islands of Adventure’s Grinchmas, Busch Garden’s Christmas Town, and SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration. But did you know you don’t have to go to Orlando theme parks to experience a spectacular holiday celebration? Some of Orlando’s most popular hotels have created their own Christmas fun with festive decorations, giant gingerbread houses, holiday brunches and live shows that’ll make you feel like you’re actually in a theme park. Here are the top Orlando hotels spreading Christmas cheer this season:

Grand Floridian – If the holiday season conjures up visions of gingerbread houses then wait until you see the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Immediately upon entering the lobby your eyes will fixate on the massive Victorian gingerbread house that welcomes guests for the holidays. And what’s even more impressive than the size is what went into the incredibly detailed house. Grand Floridian pastry chefs created the 16-foot-high house with 1,050 pounds of honey, 600 pounds of powdered sugar, 800 pounds of flour, 140 pints of egg whites and 180 pounds of apricot glaze.  It took over 400+ hours to bake the 10,000+ pieces of gingerbread! Guests can purchase a piece of the gingerbread treat and other holiday baked items like cookies, ornaments and miniature houses. After marveling at the massive gingerbread house take a look at the gigantic Christmas tree that is immaculately decorated in greens and golds.

The Peabody – Get a taste of the holiday season during The Peabody’s many holiday brunches and dining events this December. Guests can dine with Old St. Nick himself during the Santa’s Breakfast Workshop. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, a complimentary photo and visit with Santa Claus and plenty of activities for children. Parents can also purchase additional activities for the kids like writing a letter to Santa, decorating a gingerbread house or an ornament to take home. There is also a Nutcracker Brunch that offers a brunch buffet and lets you take a photo with the popular cast of The Nutcracker prior to their performance.
