It’s about to get really hot in Orlando when the annual Latin food and concert festival Viva La Musica hits SeaWorld Orlando this weekend and every Saturday through May 4. The Orlando theme park will take guests into the Latin culture with Latin food, fun and live performances from internationally renowned Latin musical artists including Daddy Yankee who kicks off the spicy event this Saturday, April 13.
The Puerto Rican reggaeton and hip hop songwriter and singer will bring his latest hit, Limbo, to the Bayside Stadium for a high-energy concert that will have you dancing all afternoon long! Daddy Yankee will be followed by such award-winning artists as Willie Colon on Saturday, April 20; Grupomania, Saturday, April 27 and El Gran Combo on Saturday, May 4. All Viva La Musica concerts begin at 3 p.m. at Bayside Stadium and are included in regular SeaWorld Orlando theme park admission.
The Latin fun actually beings at noon along the Bayside walkway where guests can get a taste of the Latin culture with dishes created by SeaWorld Orlando’s own Executive Chef Hector Colon. Colon has cooked up quite a menu with his own unique flavors and dishes that take you inside the culture including Lechon, arroz con gandules y yucca al mojo, habichuelas coloradas y maduros, carne frita con tostones, alcapurrias and ceviche.
Then on Sunday, you keep the Latin food, music and fun going during Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s own Viva La Musica event. Just like SeaWorld Orlando’s version of Viva La Musica the fiesta begins at noon with mouthwatering Latin dishes from some of Tampa Bay’s best Latin restaurants including the Tampa favorite Taco Bus offering up tacos, burritos and rice and beans, along with signature beverages such as pineapple water and hibiscus lemonade. Busch Gardens will also pay tribute to the Latin culture with its own Latin dishes including Pork asado fajitas, quesadillas, empanadas, pinchos, arepas and frozen margaritas.
After indulging in the tastes of Latin’s best dishes head to Gwazi field for the hottest Latin artists out there today including live performances by Ednita Nazario on Sunday, April 14, Oscar D’Leon on Sunday, April 21, Milly Quezada on Sunday, April 28 and El Gran Combo on Satruday, May 5. Concerts are also included in regular Busch Gardens’ admission and begin at 3 p.m. at Gwazi Field.
