In just three days guests to Universal Studios will finally get the chance to go to battle with the Autobots against the Decepticons on the thrilling new adventure Transformers: The Ride 3D, and it promises to be just as exciting as it was when you watched it on the big screen.
The battle begins Thursday, June 20 when Transformers: The Ride 3D officially opens to park guests. A lucky few have already had the chance to help the Autbots save the All-Spark from the Decepticons during several technical rehearsals of the new ride but on Thursday everybody in the park will be able to go to battle! And to prepare you for the mission Orlando Fun Tickets is giving you a few insider facts about he new attraction and why it will be the best ride of the summer.
From the moment you step inside the queue you will be transported to the movie franchise. Every detail is just as it was in the films, including the incredible size of the Autobots and Decepticons. Both are “actual size” as seen in the theaters and you’ll get your first glimpse into their massive height before you even enter the building as a whopping 28-foot-figure of Optimus Prime, stands at the entrance of the ride."We stuck to the exact size that those guys were created to be," said Thierry Coup, senior vice president of Universal Creative. "There are specific sizes for each one of them. Optimus Prime is 28 feet, and Megatron is 31 feet. In the ride, we're true to the exact size to what was intended."In addition to the height of the robots, the setting of the new attraction looks just as sharp and clear as it did in the movies. Thanks to new technology of the projection systems and the screens’ coating guests will encounter sharper images and better contrast on the imaging. Riders will mainly fly above the streets of a major metropolitan area searching, chasing and fighting the Decepticons but all with incredible visibility.
And speaking of those big screens, the Transformers ride uses slow motion on its screens, once with an in-flight bullet and later in a flying-over-street scene to make the scene feel even more real. Coup said, "It was so much more powerful in slow motion, and you completely buy it. "You feel like you're there."For the chance to defeat the Decepticons once and for all make sure you check out the new Transformers: The Ride 3D at Universal Studios during the official opening on Thursday, June 20.
