Headed to the happiest place on Earth for Easter? Traveling to Walt Disney World is sure to make for a memorable holiday with plenty to see and do! Here are five things you can do to celebrate Easter at Walt Disney World:
Meet Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny
Meeting Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny make for a super fun photo op during Easter! Photopass photographers will be available, so the whole family can get in the shot. They can be found at Bunny Garden Lane near the front of Magic Kingdom.
Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt around the World Showcase at Epcot
One of our favorite activities during Easter at Walt Disney World is the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt! You can purchase a map at Port of Entry or Disney Traders for this hunt, and once you've matched all the stickers to locations on the map, you can turn it in for a prize. The giant character-themed Easter eggs are hidden throughout the World Showcase, so it's a fun activity that can be spread throughout your time there.
Easter Processional at Magic Kingdom on Easter Day
This fun and bright processional happens right on Main Street USA. The processional features Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny and includes the Azalea Trail Maids, dancing hippos, the White Rabbit, and many more rare characters brought out specifically for the Easter parade. This show happens before Festival of Fantasy on Easter day.
Chocolate Easter Egg Displays at The Grand Floridian
If you're looking for a way to escape the crowds on Easter, head over to the Grand Floridian Resort to see their chocolate Easter Egg displays. These displays are works of art! Standing between 16 and 20 inches tall, these hollow chocolate eggs are hand-decorated with royal icing, fondant, modeling chocolate and more for the prettiest Easter eggs you've ever seen. Previous years have seen Baymax, Eeyore, BB8, Neverland and other favorite characters and scenes! These usually go up a few days before Easter, and stay up for about 2 weeks.
Attend Church Services
For those wishing to attend religious services at Walt Disney World on Easter morning, you can find services available in The Fantasia Ballroom of the Contemporary Resort. A Catholic mass is held at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and a Protestant service is held at 9:15 a.m.
In addition to these activities, you can also find special treats and merchandise throughout all of Walt Disney World. You can also find fun events and activities at select Disney Resorts leading up to the Easter holiday. Events vary based on resort, but you are sure to find something for everyone on Easter at the happiest place Earth.
