It’s never too early to start planning your holiday vacation, and Walt Disney World just announced some new holiday festivities that might have you heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this November.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will introduce the biggest holiday season in its history, with new entertainment and holiday decor in every area of the land. Here is what to expect:
Discovery Island - Discovery Island will turn into a magical scene at night with rooftop luminaries in animal shapes and bird lanterns throughout the island, bringing a warm glow to the village.
Tree of Life - As the sun sets, the tree of Life will awaken with a series of wintry tales. The storytelling will be backed by a familiar holiday score. Between moments, the Tree of Life will shimmer and sparkle throughout the night, bringing the magic of nature and the spirit of the holidays to life.
Dinoland U.S.A. - Rock out this holiday season in Dinoland, U.S.A. with the DJ-led Holiday Hoopla Dance Party with Chip ’n Dale. Guests can enjoy plenty of interactive fun and games as characters gather for “Donald’s Dino-Bash.”
Diwali - Diwali, the Holiday Festival of Lights in India, will come alive in Anandapur in Glowing Flowers, lanterns and more.
Africa - The village of Harambe in Africa will offer a unique holiday presentation, combining Western tradition with the colors and textures of authentic African celebrations, costumes and new music.
Tusker House - Safari Donald Duck and his pals will spread the holiday cheer at Tusker House.
Pandora - The World of Avatar - Enjoy out-of-this-world holiday festivities at Pandora - The World of Avatar. Ex-pats living and working on the moon of Pandora roll out seasonal fun with a holiday display at Pongu Pongu.
Park Entrance - The moment you walk into Disney’s Animal Kingdom you will feel the holiday excitement. A Christmas tree will tower over the park entrance decorated with traditional ornaments and hidden animals.
