This holiday season every single Orlando theme parks will be busy. Between December 21 through January 7, 2019, you should plan for longer wait times and larger crowds. But, with that being said, Orlando Fun Tickets does have a few tips to help you manage the Christmas chaos at Universal Orlando. With these tips you can still enjoy a merry and mischievous season.

Stay On-Site
First things, first - make sure you book hotel stay at an official Universal Orlando Resort. Why? Well for starters you’ll automatically get Universal Express Unlimited ride access that allows you to skip the line for your entire length of stay. Loews Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort all offer this perk. Also, all of Universal’s hotels offer one-hour Early park Admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which will give you a jump on the holiday crowds.

Get a Universal Express Pass
If you are not staying on-site or at a Universal hotel that offers Universal Express Unlimited ride access you might want to consider purchasing a Universal Express Pass. This pass lets you skip the regular attraction queue by going through a separate, reserved entrance. There are two passes to choose from - the Universal Unlimited Pass, which you can use repeatedly, or the Universal Express Pass, which you can use one time only at each attraction. The pass does not work for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, the Hogwarts Express for Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.

Arrive Early/ Stay Late
You’ve seen this tip before. Arriving earlier than usual and sticking around later ensures you get the most out of your holiday at Universal Orlando. Be sure to arrive at the park before the gates open, like 30 minutes before. Universal usually opens the gates 15 minutes before the posted opening time. Alternatively make sure you stick around to the park’s closing. Crowds typically die down early evening. If you are in line 15 minutes before closing you’ll be able to experience a ride.

Know the Parade Schedules
There are special holiday parades and shows this time of year. If you want to see them we recommend knowing the parade and show schedule so you can plan around it. Pick up a park map when you arrive, check out the show and parade schedule and plan accordingly. If you want to see the Holiday Parade by Macy’s make sure you get a spot at least an hour before it starts.

Eat in Between Meal Times
Ride lines slow down between traditional eating times - 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for lunch and 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. for dinner, making it a great time to hop on your favorite ride. If you choose to enjoy rides during regular eating times, then make sure you have a snack on hand or eat earlier so you aren’t starving.
