The Disney Parks are currently celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion. On August 9, 1969 the Haunted Mansion opened at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, but the attraction has since spread multiple parks around the globe! In honor of this spook-tacular milestone, there will be a special commemorative anniversary merchandise collection available at Walt Disney World resort.

Guests who visit the Magic Kingdom on August 9, 2019 can participate in all of the celebratory fun for the Haunted Mansion anniversary! In addition to the exclusive merchandise, there will also be a themed treat so keep your eyes out for that. Key locations in this haunting celebration are Frontier Trading Post, Memento Mori, and Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.

Memento Mori is located right outside the Haunted Mansion gates in Liberty Square and will be home to the new Host-A-Ghost collection. Madame Leota invites all Haunted Mansion guests to become caretakers of one of the 999 Happy Haunts. With this you’ll receive a “death certificate” naming you officially a caretaker for a happy haunt from the Haunted Mansion! You’ll have the chance to choose from an array of dearly departed souls, including The Hatbox Ghost, Constance Hatchaway, Professor Phineas Plump, and more.

In addition to the Host-A-Ghost collection, you’ll also find other commemorative items such as ornaments, mugs, ear hats, and even a replica of the doom buggy ride vehicle! If you collect PANDORA charms or ALEX AND ANI bracelets, Memento Mori is where you’ll find these 50th anniversary pieces as well.

Are you a pin collector? If so, be sure to make your way to Frontier Trading Post to stock up on the Haunted Mansion 50th anniversary offerings. There’s a “day of” pin, a 50th anniversary mystery pin collection, and a special Madame Leota Funko Pop!

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe will be selling the all-new Haunted Mansion-inspired Dooney & Bourke collection! It includes a tote, a cross body bag, and just for Annual Passholders there will be an exclusive satchel. All three items feature a black and gold Haunted Mansion-inspired print, proudly displaying a “50” in honor of the attraction’s 50th anniversary.

If you’re into spooky photo opportunities, Magic Kingdom has you covered! Outside of the attraction there are Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots featuring your favorite haunts, like the hitchhiking ghosts. While you’re on the attraction, a special Magic Shot is taken during the attraction as well.

Who is ready for a Haunted Mansion-inspired treat? The Haunted Mansion ice cream cart will have the Host-A-Ghost Chocolate Cupcake available for purchase on the anniversary day. This chocolate cupcake features a dark chocolate truffle filling, buttercream icing, crispy pearls, and milk chocolate decoration.

The special Haunted Mansion 50th anniversary merchandise collection will be available for purchase starting at 7:45 AM in Liberty Square. The Haunted Mansion attraction will also be open for early access on this day, so start of the attraction’s anniversary the right way! So, if you find yourself in the Magic Kingdom during the special 50th anniversary weekend, don’t forget to make your way over to Liberty Square and pay your respects to this classic Disney attraction.
