Coming to Disney Springs this spring, Drawn to Life marks the newest live entertainment collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Imagineering. In advance of the show’s first performance on March 20 before its official opening on April 17, here are our top five reasons to see Drawn to Life – 50th original production by Cirque du Soleil – during your next Disney trip to Orlando.

First Cirque du Soleil show to incorporate characters from the Walt Disney Company
Did you know? Drawn to Life is not the first Cirque du Soleil show to appear at Disney Springs – but it is the first of its kind to feature trademarked Disney characters, like Genie from Aladdin. Though Disney Springs previously housed the beloved Cirque show, La Nouba, no Disney characters appeared in that story.

Appropriate for the entire family
Drawn to Life follows the fictional story of Julie, the daughter of a Disney animator. Her father raised her to grow up with the love of Disney animated features, much like the adults and children in the audience. Watch as Julie learns to incorporate the lessons and beliefs imbued by her father into her own future. The story, with is nostalgia, whimsy, and adventure, appeals to all age groups in your entire party.

Colorful and eye-catching costumes
From neon green and blue wigs to imaginative makeup designs, Drawn to Life has raised the stakes for costumes featured in Cirque du Soleil performances. These costumes appeal to the dreamlike fantasy often associated with Disney cartoons. When you find your way under the big top, keep your eyes open for character-driven costumes and dynamic styling.

Only Cirque du Soleil show in Orlando, Florida
Since 1984, the minds behind Cirque du Soleil have combined the visual arts with the majesty of circus to capture audience’s hearts and minds through innovative and lasting stories. On a vacation to Central Florida, there is only one Cirque du Soleil show you can see –Drawn to Life. Trust us, if you have never seen a show by Cirque du Soleil live onstage, you must find your way to Disney Springs if you are vacationing anywhere near the Orlando area.

Don’t try these tricks at home… or on Space Mountain.
