Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World is gearing up for its 30th anniversary on May 1, 2019.

The park will celebrate the milestone with an anniversary ceremony and the debut of the new nighttime projection show, “Wonderful World of Animation.” The new show will use state-of-the-art projection technology to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation.

The May 1 festivities are just the beginning of what’s in store for Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests this spring. Guests can speed into the season with the newly opened Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. The high-octane, first of its kind show puts guests in the middle of the Cars action.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t the only Disney theme park to offer exciting spring events and attractions. At Disney’s Magic Kingdom, guests can continue to enjoy Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration through September 30, 2019 with the new “Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It!” Street Party, special merchandise and celebration-inspired food and drink.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also in celebration mode, as the park celebrates the 25th anniversary of The Lion King through September 30, 2019. Guests can show off their dance moves with the “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party,” and snap photos at special Lion King- themed photo ops. To relive the animated film, guests can take in the popular show, “Festival of the Lion King.” Additionally, starting this summer, the Tree of Life will awaken in the evenings with a new story, depicting moments from Simba’s journey.

Experience the beauty of spring during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival now through June 3. The festival includes four new Outdoor Kitchens, a must-see Bo Peep topiary and a new Play Full Garden.

Also at Epcot, “The Guardians of the Galaxy - Awesome Mix Live!” shows will return to American Gardens Theatre from June 14- August 18. Join Star-Lord, Gamora and their alien band for an intergalactic concert.
