Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort recently revealed an updated menu along with a revamped atmosphere at both Centertown Market and the pool-side bar Banana Cabana. Let’s take a look at what’s in store:

The quick service restaurant Centertown Market has been expanded and reimagined as an indoor street market. With the new space comes new eats like customizable Latin and Caribbean-Inspired dishes including the Island Bowl available for breakfast and dinner. The bowls come with your choice of base, protein, sauce, and if you’re ordering a breakfast bowl, the type of egg you want on top. Bases include red beans and rice, home fries for breakfast and greens for dinner. Proteins include rotisserie beef, bacon, chorizo, or plant-based sausage for breakfast and rotisserie beef, pork shoulder, banana leaf-wrapped fish, jerk chicken thighs, or vegan chipotle seitan for dinner. Breakfast sauce options are salsa verde or pico de gallo, and dinner sauces include chimchurri, garlic ranch, or spicy pink sauce.

The breakfast menu also includes classic dishes like Eggs Benedict or the All American Breakfast Platter with eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon and toast. For some island flavors to wake up your tastebuds try the Coconut Waffles with fruit or the Banana Pancakes topped with granola and pineapple chunks and served with sausage and maple syrup.

The dinner menu also includes fresh salads, Sicilian-style pizza, pasta dishes, and a variety of sandwiches and burgers.

End your meal with something sweet like the Tropical Tart with key lime, mango and passion fruit with Chantilly or the Chocolate Creme Tart with chocolate cake, coffee Chantilly, and caramel crisps.

Kids can also enjoy some new menu items. The Pirate Mickey Waffles and French Toast are always a kid-hit as is the Chicken Breast Nuggets, Tacos and Grilled Cheese for dinner. If your little one is an adventurous eater there are a few unique offerings like the Egg Popper for breakfast (a hard-boiled egg with green pirate juice, roasted pineapple and bacon) and the Beef and Mushroom-blended Cheeseburger for dinner with cauli fries, orange sauce and a mini “build-your-own” Island Bowl.

At Banana Cabana jump right into the island lifestyle with Caribbean-inspired cocktails like the Pink Guava Colada featuring rum, guava puree, pineapple juice and cream of coconut and the Kraken Punch with spiced rum, blood orange sour and pomegranate and orange juices. Caribbean beers are also available along with a variety of craft and traditional beers and premium wines on tap. For a non-alcoholic drink you can still escape to the islands with the Tropical paradise, a fruity blend of pineapple coconut, cinnamon, and lime dusted with nutmeg.

Centertown Market and Banana Cabana are set to open in late Fall 2018.
