Epcot is adding another international festival to its yearly events. The theme park’s annual Holidays Around the World is transforming into the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
During the festival, guests will experience the holiday traditions of the 11 World Showcase nations through music and holiday stories. And no Epcot festival would be complete without food. This year’s festivities will feature 15 holiday kitchens serving up seasonal snacks including snowflake sugar cookies and warm apple fritters with cinnamon ice cream.
The Holiday Kitchens showed up at Epcot last year, and they were such a hit, the Orlando theme park is bringing them back bigger and tastier than ever. Returning favorites include:
- American Holiday Table – Get into the spirit of the holidays with tastes from your childhood. The American Holiday Table will serve up such classics as tender roast turkey and pork tenderloin, among other dishes.
- Feast of the Three Kings – Inspired by the story of the Magi, the Feast of the Three Kings will have you dining like royalty on delicious eats from the Caribbean. While you eat, learn about the celebration of Three Kings’ Day, El Día De Los Reyes Magos!
- Holiday Sweets and Treats – The holidays are a time for many things, including sweet treats! The Holiday Sweets and Treats Kitchen will make your taste buds smile with decadent desserts, savory snacks and merry libations.
- Mexico – Celebrate Feliz Navidad, with such Mexican favorites as carnitas tacos and horchata margaritas.
Food aside, The Festival of the Holidays will introduce Chip and Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree. Chip and Dale are collecting ornaments for their Christmas tree. Guests can purchase a map and stickers from select merchandise locations and travel around World Showcase looking for the chipmunks with their ornaments. Return your completed maps for a surprise from Chip and Dale.
In addition, the popular Candlelight Processional, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth and JOYFUL! A Gospel Celebration of the Season will fill guests with holiday cheer.
The Epcot International Festival of the Holiday takes place November 19 through December 30.
