It’s almost time to sip and savor your way through Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World. The land opens August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and with it will come plenty of intergalactic eats. Let’s check some of them out:
The notorious watering hole, Oga’s Cantina serves as the hangout for all of the locals as well as smugglers and bounty hunters in the Blackspire Outpost. Here you’ll find a variety of specialty beverages with alcohol including the Outer Rim featuring silver tequila, acas liqueur, lime juice, puree cane sugar, black salt and exotic fruit puree. There is also the Yub Nub made with pineapple rum, spiced rum, citrus juices and passion fruit as well as the Fuzzy Tauntaun with peach vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice with tangerine, pure cane sugar and “buzz button tingling” foam.
Family-Friendly concoctions are also available including the Blue Banta featuring blue milk served chilled and topped with a banta-inspired vanilla-butter sugar cookie. During the afternoon and evenings sip on the Hyperdrive with Powerade Mountain Berry Blast, white cranberry juice, black cherry puree and Sprite or the Jabba Juice with Simply Orange with pineapple, kiwi, cantaloupe and blueberry popping pearls.
For snacking enjoy the Batuu Bites - a trail mix featuring different seasonal crunches and crisps.
Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo
At this hangar bay, Chef Strong “Cookie” Tuggs has docked his food freighter, “Tugg’s Grub: A Traveling Diner for Diners traveling,” on the roof. He serves up a variety of dishes from across the galaxy. Refuel between adventures with the Felucian Garden Spread (plant-based “kofta” with herb hummus, tomato-cucumber relish, and pita) or the Yobshrimp Noodle Salad with chilled shrimp, marinated noodles, and seasonal vegetables. Wash it all down with the Moof Juice with Simply Fruit Punch, Simply Orange with pineapple, and chipotle pineapple or the alcoholic Takodana Quencher with dragon very rum, blue curaçao, Simply Orange with pineapple and kiwi.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with the Batuu-born featuring chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse and coffee custard or the Oi-oi Puff - a raspberry cream puff with passion fruit mousse.
Batuu’s legendary blue and green milk is available at the Milk Stand. Both kinds feature a plant-based blend of coconut and rice milks and can be ordered with alcohol.
Droid 8D-JB is the pit master behind Ronto Roasters. He serves up Ronto Wraps with roasted pork, grilled sausage, peppercorn sauce and tangy slaw wrapped in a pita.
Quench your thirst with the non-alcoholic Tatooine Sunset with Gold Peak Unsweetened Tea, Odwalla Lemonade, melon, and blueberry. Or the alcoholic Trandoshan Ale a spiced wheat ale or the Coruscant Cooler featuring Kentucky bourbon, cherry liquor, fortified wine, cranberry and lime juice.
