LEGO Star Wars Days are back on weekends this May with LEGO Star Wars characters meet-and-greets, galactic-themed building opportunities and a new brick display with scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The giant display in Mainland U.S.A is brand new to this year’s event and features scenes and characters from Episode VII of the franchise with light and sound effects and animation. Guests can marvel at some of the massive structures like the 16-foot-long Star Destroyer Finalizer constructed from more than 350,000 LEGOS.
The Force Awakens display also has six scenes from the movie’s best moments including Kylo Ren’s capture of Poe, Rey’s rescue of BB-8, Poe and Finn’s escape from the Finalizer, Finn and Poe’s TIE Fighter wreck, the escape from Nima Outpost and the escape from the Starship Graveyard.
Guests can enjoy tours of the Mainland display with a Master Model Builder, who will give building tips and insights into the interactive exhibit.
Perhaps the highlight of this year’s event is the brand new meet-and-greet with commander of the First Order’s force of Stormtroopers, Captain Phasma. Captain Phasma has come to LEGOLAND Florida to ensure the display models are passing inspection.
Other characters available include Darth Vader as well as the world’s largest Yoda, LEGO Chewbacca and LEGO Rey.
Guests can put their lightsaber skills to the test during the lightsaber scavenger hunt in the Imagination Zone. There is even an opportunity to build a Star Wars LEGO model during the Galaxy Competition Build.
