SeaWorld Orlando has unveiled the first 15 custom-designed rafts for the all-new family attraction Infinity Falls set to open summer 2018.
The eight-passenger raft will look and feel just like a real raft you’d take on a white-water adventure. The raft is circular, putting riders face-to-face with friends and family members for the exhilarating journey.
"It's a world record-breaking river raft ride, which will place our guests in the center of an action adventure in the middle of a tropical rainforest jungle," said Brian Morrow, Vice President of Theme Park Design Experience at SeaWorld in a statement.
Once on the raft, riders will embark on an adventure through a rainforest inspired by some of the world’s most incredible freshwater ecosystems. The ride will end with a thrilling 40-foot-drop, a world record for a river raft ride, into rapids down below. The new ride will also feature an innovative elevator lift to transport the rafts to the top of the ride’s thrilling 40-foot drop.
Infinity Falls will be the first attraction at SeaWorld to tell a story behind the ocean and share a message of water conservation. This is just one example of the park’s new initiative “Park to Planet” that will help guests understand some of the challenges facing the planet and inspire them to help.
The new family-friendly adventure will be the centerpiece of a newly themed area designed to resemble the basecamp of explorers and scientists. The village area includes interactive experiences as well as up-close encounters with animals native to South America.
