Miss Adventure Falls

Big things are coming to Orlando theme parks this spring and summer. Last week parks announced new locations, sneak peeks of new worlds and a new water attraction you don’t want to miss. Here’s what you may have missed at Orlando theme parks last week:

Miss Adventure Falls - Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon opened the new family raft attraction Miss Adventure Falls on March 12. The ride tells the story of Captain Mary Oceaneer, whose boat was wrecked in a rogue storm over Typhoon Lagoon. The ride will take you through her adventures, showing the many worldly treasures captured over the years.

La Nouba Closing - La Nouba announced last week that after nearly 20 years, the Cirque du Soleil show at Disney Springs will close its curtains on December 31, 2017. The production has welcomed more than 10 million guests and has recently added a slew of new performances including a duo of comedic clowns, a couple skilled in the art of aerial bamboo and world famous break dancers.

iFly Indoor Skydiving New Location - iFly is getting a new location this April. The indoor skydiving company released more details about its newest location and opening date. Guests will soon be able to soar in iFly’s state-of-the-art wind tunnels at their new location on I-Drive next to WonderWorks. The upgraded facility will open April 27.

Pandora - World of Avatar Sneak Peek - Walt Disney World gave us a sneak peek of the new Pandora - World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom last week. The new area is set after the popular film when the Na’vi and humans are no longer in conflict. Guests will be able to experience everything form the bioluminescent forest to the interactive plant life of the movie on such rides as Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage. Pandora - World of Avatar opens May 27, 2017.

Disney’s Beauty & the Beast Opens - Last week, the highly-anticipated Disney remake, Beauty & the Beast opened in theaters. In celebration characters from the movie could be seen throughout Walt Disney World. You can still catch them meandering about including Gaston at Gaston’s Tavern at Magic Kingdom, Belle and Beast in topiary form at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot and Belle in the France pavilion also at Epcot.
