Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney’s Magic Kingdom is one of our favorite ways to celebrate Halloween as a family. Rare characters, spectacular entertainment, parades and shows are just a few of the things to take in at the annual event. There is so much not-so-spooky fun that it’s hard to do it all in the five hour window of the event. Luckily Orlando Fun Tickets has compiled a list of tips to ensure you do it all and have a great time:
When to Go – If you’re contemplating tickets to this spirited event you might be wondering when to attend. October 31 is a very popular day as are Fridays in October. For smaller crowds and more fun, we suggest attending Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in early September.
Early Entry – Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party officially begins at 7 p.m. inside Magic Kingdom, but ticketed guests can enter the park as early as 4 p.m. We definitely recommend taking advantage of the early entry. This allows you to get in a few rides, shows and attractions beforehand so you have time to see all of the Not So Scary-themed fun.
FastPass+ – FastPass+ is not used during the party. However, if you enter the park between 4 and 7 p.m. it is still available. Party guests entering the park before it begins can use their party ticket at a FastPass kiosk.
Visit the most popular characters first – There are a slew of “rare” characters that appear for this special Halloween party. Lines can get quite long to see these characters (up to three hours) so be sure to hit them up first. Some of the more exclusive characters like Jack & Sally, the Seven Dwarfs and Moana might even be meeting before the party officially starts at 7 p.m. Be on the lookout!
Show times – You don’t want to miss the spooky shows at this year’s event. Most of them play multiple times except for the nightly Happy Hallowishes Fireworks Show.
- Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade - 9:15 p.m., 11:15 p.m.
- Happy Hallowishes Fireworks - 10:15 p.m.
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular - 8:15 p.m., 10:45 p.m., 12 a.m.
- Cadaver Dan's - 7:15 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:50 p.m., 9:55 p.m., 10:50 p.m.
Arrive Early for Parades – Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Parade is pretty spectacular and one not to miss. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes before the parade and finding a spot along the parade route. If you want to be front row you need to head to the Castle and get there about an hour early. If you can’t get there so early, your best bet is to go to Frontierland. This offers excellent vantage points. Also, the parade starts in Frontierland, which means it ends sooner, so you have more time to hop on rides while everybody is still watching it pass by.
