The monster mash is coming to Universal Orlando this fall, or at least the monsters are during the 2019 edition of the Orlando theme park’s Halloween Horror Nights. A haunted maze called Universal Monsters will feature Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein’s monster, the Wolf Man and other classic movie characters.
“They’re coming together to tear you apart,” a Universal promotional video says. In a news release, the characters are touted as being from Universal Pictures, “the movie that invented the horror films.”
Guests will have to step inside each monster’s domain and try to make it out alive. Pass through Dracula’s gothic castle and Dr. Frankenstein’s lab, home of the famed manmade monster. And if you survive those you’ll have to go up against other monsters lurking on the shadows including the Wolf Man who awaits in a Bavarian forest, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the ancient evil of the Mummy and more.
Universal Monsters is the third environment that has been announced for the 2019 event, following a house based on Netflix’s Stranger Things and the all-new Nightingales: Blood Pit, set in ancient Rome. In total, Halloween Horror Nights will have ten haunted houses and five scare zones.
Halloween Horror Nights begins haunting earlier than ever before. The haunts will begin Sept. 6 and run on select nights through Nov. 2 at Universal Studios Florida.
