Universal Orlando Resort revealed the names of the two new hotels being built on the former site of the Wet ’n Wild water park. One will be called Surfside Inn and Suites, the other Dockside Inn and Suites. Together, they will form a complex known as Universal’s Endless Summer Resort.
Surfside Inn and Suites will feature 750 rooms, while Dockside Inn and Suites will boast 2,050. Both have families in mind and will offer two separate bedrooms, a kitchenette and dining area and a bathroom with a separate shower and vanity. Just like Universal’s existing hotels, the two new options will be in partnership with Loews Hotels & Co.
“Guests will enjoy a relaxed and easy vibe, and fun surf and beachy details will be woven in throughout the Surfside Inn and Suites & Dockside Inn and Suites experience,” Russ Dagon, senior vice president of resort development at Universal Creative, wrote on the official Universal Orlando blog.
Perhaps the best part about these two new resorts is the budget-friendly price. Both hotels will offer rates as low as $73 per night and introduce Universal Orlando’s all-new Value hotel category.
But don’t let the value fool you. Guests to Surfside Inn and Suites and Dockside Inn and Suites will still get to enjoy some of the same perks and amenities as Universal’s other hotels. This includes Early Park Admission, which allows you to enter one of Universal’s three parks an hour before opening, as well as free shuttle service to and from the parks as well as Universal’s CityWalk.
Surfside Inn and Suites will be the first hotel at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort and will open in summer of 2019. Dockside Inn and Suites will open in 2020.
