Walt Disney World recently shared a peek at one of the iconic Star Wars vehicles – the X-wing that guests will soon be able to pose with for photos at the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.
The X-wing will bring authenticity to the land, allowing guest to get a better sense of what these ships look like in real life. Another one of Star Wars ships – the Millennium Falcon – will also be a part of the land as an attraction that puts guests as pilots on a critical mission. The Millennium Falcon will be a life-size star ship.
When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens it will take guests to a remote trading port on the edge of space. Here you will find Star Wars characters and their stories in a whole new light. Guests will encounter everything from rebels to First Order forces and beyond as they travel across the Star Wars galaxy.
In addition, Disney shared new renderings for the Star Wars hotel that will be designed to make guests feel like they are staying in space. Guests will board a starship and become immersed with characters and stories that surround them during their journey through space. To really make guests feel like they are in fact in space, every window has a view of the galaxy. The hotel will be seamlessly connected to the themed land in Hollywood Studios.
