Ghosts, ghouls, zombies and more frightful creatures have been unearthed at Lowry Park Zoo’s ZooBoo, the largest family Halloween event in Tampa! Haunted houses, Little Beasties Bungalow, the Spooky Fun Fair and free rides will have the kiddies captivated. Meanwhile grown-ups can stand up to the scares of six haunted houses, including the all-new London Frightmare!
There isn’t a better way to celebrate the scares of All Hallows’ Eve than at the largest family Halloween event in Tampa, Lowry Park Zoo’s ZooBoo! On select evenings from Sept. 26th – Nov 1st, the zoo transforms into a world full of haunted houses, spooky animal exhibits, creepy carnival games and night-rides the whole family can enjoy. New this year for those brave enough is a terrifying walk through a London at night will make you think twice in London Frightmare.
There are also five other haunted houses with varying degrees of intensity that will keep you on your toes. You must escape a failed experiment of carnivorous plants in Tangled Terror. Pharaoh’s Tomb of Revenge will make you wish they never relocated an entire Egyptian tomb. And other frightful haunts like French Quarter Phantoms and Wake the Dead.
ZooBoo’s festivities don’t end at the haunted houses. The whole family will get a kick out of meeting up with some of the more interesting inhabitants of Lowry Park Zoo. Take a look at Fly Fox Bats in their own house in Wallaroo Station and pet and feed silky smooth stingrays at Stingray Bay along the Florida Boardwalk. The little ones will get a kick out of the Little Beasties Bungalow, where they can find friendly Halloween scenes with smiling monsters in a forest that won’t put a scare in them. Free rides on the Batty Bumper Boats, Roller Ghoster and Flying Boo-nanas will also keep children entertained. Little ones can try out their luck at Halloween themed carnival games like Monster Ball or Pumpkin Pitch and take a free jump in the Tiki Trek Bounce. And be sure to grab food, drinks and Halloween goodies you can only find at Lowry Park Zoo in their unique boo-tiques after you’ve had your fill of scares.
