The impressive three-story, glass domed aquarium sits alongside the scenic waterfront in the Channelside District in downtown Tampa, surrounded by shops, nightlife, and restaurants.
Visitors will encounter thousands of marine animals and plants throughout the air-conditioned building. Two separate touch-tanks provide an up-close opportunity to encounter the sea life, while a variety of exhibits – such as the Coral Reef Gallery and Wetlands Trail - showcases the aquatic animals and their ecosystems in Florida and around the world. There are assorted educational shows for the kids, such as Trail Talks and Secret Sea Life Superhero, as well as fun encounters including Penguin Meet & Greet, “Tango” Character Meet & Greet, and Stingray Feeding Talk. Not to mention a big rainforest-themed water play area called The Splash Pad with spray zones, water spouts and dump buckets everywhere.
Another hit with the kids is the 4-D theater, with daily showings featuring digital 3-D that’s brought to life through multisensory effects – sure to captivate the entire family!
