Daytona Rolex 24
The Rolex 24 at Daytona is held each year at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, part of a series of car races known as Speedweeks that lead up to the famous Daytona 500. One of the more popular events in the series, the Rolex 24 is recognized as the first big race of the year on the motorsports calendar, which adds an extra layer of hype and excitement. This year, race day begins January 26-27, 2019.
Fans can expect to see the best racecar drivers from around the world take part in the 24-hour endurance race; usually three to five drivers per team split up the driving throughout the 24 hours of racing. Guests are also able to walk the track surface, plus have an up-close look at pit road and pre-race activities. Attendees can expect live entertainment, plenty of food, carnival rides, and a whole lot of fun at the Daytona Rolex 24. It’s a weekend of fast cars and good times. In the past, celebrities like Gene Hackman, Paul Newman, and Tim Allen have taken part in the race alongside the race car professionals, so you just never know who might show up to run a few laps.
